As a developer, John has overseen the land acquisition, entitlements, and development of master planned communities, residential tracts, urban infill sites, and land assemblages. His experience and skill sets include land acquisition, land brokerage, project management, market analysis, finance, and strategic planning.
Dylan Bird is an experienced developer, builder, and income property investor with over 20 years experience with single-family tracts, multifamily complexes, and office space. As an owner/operator of his own private companies, Dylan is well-versed in the underwriting of new acquisitions, debt and equity financing, due diligence processes, entitlement processing, cost estimating, hiring and coordination of consultants, purchasing, contract review, plan check and permitting, construction management, bonding and bond releases, lien releases, sales, lease negotiation, and the management of projects from inception through disposition.
Ryan Waufle has over 23 years of planning and engineering experience with an emphasis in residential, commercial, and institutional development. As an Associate Principal with Pasco Laret Suiter & Associates, Ryan’s responsibilities include grading and improvement plan design, tentative and final maps, erosion control plans, utility plan layout and design, cost estimating, entitlement processing, and overall project management. His experience has included large residential subdivisions, urban infill projects, commercial retail centers, and educational facilities.
Scott Crawford is the Assistant Vice President, at WSP USA and has over 25 years experience managing and coordinating project activity with the Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, California Department Fish & Wildlife, and the Regional Water Quality Control Boards. Scott’s experience includes plant and wildlife surveys, wetland delineations, and consultations with all agencies. His clients have included major homebuilders, land developers, and public agencies.
Steve Ball is a title attorney with over 35 years experience reviewing title reports and resolving complex, difficult title issues that impact real estate development. His experience includes 27 years at First American Title Company, where he served as Senior Vice President of National Homebuilder Services. Now operating his own practice, Steven F. Ball Consulting, LLC, Steve’s clients include major companies such as The Irvine Company, The New Home Company, and many other major builders.
Peter Carlson is a 30-year veteran of the real estate development industry, with an emphasis in government entitlements, CEQA/NEPA and environmental compliance, biology/regulatory compliance, and overall land use planning. Peter’s experience includes a strong understanding of the underlying technical issues such as traffic, hydrology, biology, and geology. His firm, Carlson Strategic Land Solutions, advises private and public clients on all aspects of land and real estate development. Prior to private practice, Peter served as the Director of Planning for local city government.
Dave Ferguson is a land use attorney and founding partner of Lounsbery Ferguson Altona & Peak, a real estate law firm in Escondido, California. With over 35 years of real estate development experience, Dave has advised both private and public clients on matters involving real property acquisition, land sales, environmental compliance, land use entitlement, and development agreements. His clients have included Lennar Homes, D.R. Horton, Centex Homes, CalAtlantic Homes, New Urban West, and many other development clients.
Kris Weber is a principal at Hunsaker and Associates, with over 42 years experience in land development planning and engineering. Kris manages the firm’s planning and design group, and is the leader of the company’s Surface Water Quality Department. His experience includes service to the largest land developers and homebuilders throughout California. Kris also teaches water quality management courses to other water quality professionals and homebuilding staff.
Mark Kiner, AIA, is a Principal with the renowned firm of Bassenian Lagoni Architects. His architectural design experience ranges from entry level housing to large scale resorts in the United States and the Pacific Rim. His international experience includes vacation ownership and destination resorts in China, Korea, The Philippines, and the Middle East. Mark is a graduate of California Polytechnic University and is a registered architect in 10 states.
